Buick introduced the Rendezvous crossover vehicle in model year 2002. It was available in a front-wheel or all-wheel-drive configuration. All Rendezvous models are powered by a 3.4L V6, later models came with a 3.5L V6 engine. Trim levels include CX, CXL, and Ultra. All models enjoy a full complement of power accessories, as most people have come to expect from Buick. Available options include leather seating, heated seats, power seats, power moonroof, alloy wheels, chrome wheels, All Wheel Drive, TD/DVD, Navigation, Heads Up Display and 5 or 7 passenger seating. The Rendezvous also drives like a Buick should, with a solid but compliant ride that suits Buick’s target market perfectly. The Buick Rendezvous has also become a favourite with young families who want minivan versatility but prefer driving a sport utility vehicle. The Rendezvous skirts a fine line between both, and does so with poise.
